Refund & Returns Policy

At Emporium Shopping, we want our customers to be satisfied with their purchases. This policy explains how returns, refunds and defective-product claims are handled.
1. Contacting Us About a Return

When contacting us, please provide:
- Your full name
- Order/invoice number
- Proof of payment
- The product concerned
- The reason for the return
- Photographs or videos where relevant
2. General Returns
For ordinary returns, customers should request a return within 30 days of receiving the product Which include all public holidays.
Products returned under our ordinary return policy should be:
- Clean
- Unused
- In resalable condition
- In their original condition
- Accompanied by the relevant order/invoice information
Products that have been worn, damaged, washed, altered or otherwise used may not qualify for an ordinary change-of-mind return, subject always to any rights provided by applicable law.
3. Return Shipping
For an ordinary change-of-mind return, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the product, where permitted by applicable law.
Where the return is required because Emporium Shopping supplied the wrong product or because of a qualifying defect, the applicable legal rights of the customer will apply.
4. Exchanges
Emporium Shopping does not offer standard product exchanges.
Where a customer requires a different product or size, the customer may return the original product where eligible and place a new order.
This does not affect any statutory remedy that may apply where goods are defective, unsafe or otherwise fail to meet legal requirements.
5. Defective or Damaged Products
If you believe that a product is defective or arrived damaged, contact us at:

Please provide photographs or videos showing the issue where possible.
We may investigate the product and circumstances surrounding the complaint before determining the appropriate remedy.
Where the product is defective or otherwise covered by consumer-protection legislation, Emporium Shopping will provide the remedy required by applicable law.
6. Incorrect Products
If we send you an item that is different from the item you ordered, contact us immediately at

We will investigate the matter and, where appropriate, arrange the applicable remedy.
7. Cooling-Off Rights
Certain online transactions may be subject to statutory cooling-off rights under South African law.
Where the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act applies, a consumer may have a right to cancel a transaction involving goods within seven days after receiving the goods, subject to the Act.
Where payment has already been made and a qualifying cancellation occurs, the applicable refund must be processed within the period prescribed by law.
8. Refunds
Where a refund is approved, we will process the refund using the original payment method where reasonably possible.
Where the original payment method cannot reasonably be used, we may request the customer’s banking details to process an EFT refund.
Refund processing times may depend on the payment provider and banking institution.
Where South African law prescribes a specific refund period, that period will apply.
9. Product Inspection
Returned products may be inspected to determine whether they meet the requirements of the applicable return policy.
Our inspection process does not remove or restrict any statutory rights available to consumers.
10. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy limits, excludes or waives any rights available to consumers under applicable South African law.
Where a statutory right provides a consumer with a remedy that differs from this policy, the statutory right will apply.
